CAUTION
Do not cut braid when scoring outer jacket. Damage to heat trace cable may occur
if braid is cut.
35. Lightly score outer jacket (34) with utility knife 7.5 in. (190 mm) from end of heat trace cable (10).
36. Bend heat trace cable (10) to break outer jacket (34) at score.
37. Push heat trace braid (7) back toward outer jacket (34) to create a pucker.
38. Open heat trace braid (7) at pucker with screwdriver.
39. Bend heat trace cable (10) and work heat trace cable (10) through opening in heat trace braid (7).
40. Pull heat trace braid (7) straight to make pigtail.
