6-63. MODULATOR VALVE

MATERIALS/PARTS REQUIRED
Tags, Identification (Item 32, Appendix E)
Preformed Packing (Figure 131, Appendix F)
a. Removal.
NOTE
Tag (Item 32, Appendix E) and mark hose before disconnecting.
(1)
Disconnect hose (1) from modulatorvalve (2).
(2)
Remove screw (3), bracket (4), modulator valve (2), preformed packing (5), and pin (6). Discard
preformed packing.
b. Installation.
(1)
Install pin (6), new preformed packing (5), modulator valve (2), bracket (4), and screw (3).
(2)
Tighten screw (3) to 8 to 10 Ib-ft (11 to 14 N-m).
(3)
Connect hose (1) to modulator valve (2).
c. Follow-on Maintenance.
(1)
Refill Transmission with oil (see para 4-142).
