a. Removal.
NOTE
Discard all old seals and gaskets.
(1)
Remove nut (1) from manual shaft (2).
(2)
Remove selector lever (3) from manual shaft
(2).
(3)
Remove cotter pin (4).
(4)
Remove locknut (5).
(5)
Hold detent lever (6) with one hand and
remove manual shaft (2) by pulling shaft
through oil seal (7).

Remove detent lever (6) from transmission
housing (8).
