a. Removal.
(1)
Install lifting bracket (item 68, Section 111, Appendix B) to main shaft (1) of gear unit assembly (2).
WARNING
Serious injury could occur if heavy equipment is moved/lifted
without sufficient personnel to do the job. Use proper physical
lifting procedures or use a suitable lifting device or dolly. Wear
safety shoes, gloves and other suitable protective cloth- ing.
Area should be clear of other personnel. Serious injury or death
can result from falling objects.
(2)
Remove gear unit assembly (2) from transmission housing (3) while other person operates lifting
device.
(3)
Remove lifting bracket.
