Disassembly.
(1) Place rocker arm (2) in press.
(2) Press bushing (13) from rocker arm (2).

Cleaning/lnspection.
WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 is potentially dangerous. Avoid
repeated and prolonged breathing of vapors and skin contact
with the liquid. Do not use near open flame, arcing equipment or
other ignition sources. Always wear eye protection and
protective clothing. The flash point of P-D-680 is 100 to 138 deg.
F (38 to 59 deg. C).
(1) Clean metal parts in dry cleaning solvent (Item 3, Appendix E).
(2) Inspect rocker arm assembly and brackets for cracks and other damage. Replace as required.
(3) Check for looseness of clevis pin small rocker arm bushing (15) in clevis end of rocker arm (2). If it
wobbles, it should be replaced. The bushing (15) is pressed onto the clevis pin (16) and rotates in the
rocker arm bore. The clevis pin (1 6) must be pressed out of the two clevis pin bushings (14) as well
as the small rocker arm bushing (15). Replace two clevis pin bushings (14) also if necessary,
although that is seldom necessary. Replace the rocker arm if the small end bore is worn excessively
beyond it's machined bore of .564 to .565 in. (14.32 to 14.35 mm).

Assembly.
(1) Place rocker arm (2) in press.
(2) Press new bushing (13) in rocker arm (2).
(3) Ream replacement bushing (13) to .875 to .876 in. (22.22 to 22.25 mm).
