(8) Remove and discard seal (8) from housing (7).
(9) Carefully withdraw drive (11) from driven end of output shaft (12).

Remove four 12-point capecrews (13) to remove mounting flange (14).

Remove dust seal (15) from mounting flange (14). Discard seal.

Press bearing race (16) from mounting flange (14).

Remove seal (17) and shaft pressure seal (18) from mounting flange (14

Slide thrust needle bearing (18A) off output shaft (12).

Carefully withdraw output shaft (12) from housing (7).

Remove O-ring (19) and plug (20) from housing (7).

Remove spacer (21).
b. Cleaning and Inspection.
WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 is potentially dangerous. Avoid
repeated and prolonged breathing of vapors and skin contact
with the liquid. Do not use near open flame, arcing equipment
or other ignition sources. Always wear eye protection and
protective clothing. The flash point of P-D-680 is 100 to 138
deg. F (38 to 59 deg. C).
(1 ) Clean all parts in dry cleaning solvent (Item 3, Appendix E). See para 4-9.
WARNING
Death or serious injury could occur if compressed air is directed
against the skin. Do not use compressed air for cleaning or
drying unless the pressure is/has been reduced to 30 psi (2.11

kg/cm ) or less. When working with compressed air, always use
chip guards, eye protection and other personal protective
equipment.
(2) Dry all parts with compressed air.
(3) Inspect all parts for damage and destructive wear patterns. See para 4-9.
