(14) Carefully insert spool (44) into spool sleeve (43).
(15) Screw assembled spool sleeve (43) and spool (44) into pump housing (2).
(16) Install new O-ring (37A) on air bleed assembly (42).
NOTE
If air bleed assembly ball and/or spring need to be replaced, the
entire air bleed assembly must be replaced because the ball is
staked in place.
(17) Screw air bleed assembly (42) with new O-ring (37A) into pump housing (2). Torque to 125 ft Ibs (170
Nm).
(18) Screw new plug (33A) with new O-ring into air bleed assembly. Torque to 20 ft Ibs (27 Nm).
(19) Insert spring retainer (41) and modulator spring (40) into pump housing (2).
CAUTION
Same quantity and thickness of shims (either .005" or .010"
(.127 or .254 mm) thick) must be replaced as were removed for
correct differential pressure.
(20) Place shims (39) on piston (38).
(21) Install piston (38) with shims (39) into differential cap (36).
(22) Install new O-ring (37) on differential cap (36).
(23) Screw differential cap (36) with piston (38) and shims (39) into pump housing (2). Torque to 60 ft Ibs
(81 Nm).
(24) Drive ball (35) into pump housing (2). Lightly stone surface of pump housing (use deburring stone,
Item 46, Appendix E) to remove any burrs after ball is driven in.
(25) Install new O-ring (28A) and back-up ring (29A) onto torque plug (34).
(26) Insert torque plug (34) into pump housing (2).
(27) Screw plug (33) new with O-ring into pump housing (2). Torque to 20 ft Ibs (27 Nm).
(28) Insert pressure spring (32) and dart (31) into bore in pump housing (2).
(29) Install new O-ring (31) in pump housing (2).
(30) Install new O-rings (28 and 30) and their back-up rings (29) on adjusting stem (27).
(31) Insert adjusting stem (27) with O-rings (28 and 30) and back up rings (29) into plug (25).
(32) Screw plug (25) with adjusting stem (27) into pump housing (2). Torque plug to 20 ft Ibs (27 Nm).
(33) Thread nut (23) onto adjusting stem (27). Torque to 10 ft Ibs (13 Nm).
