Install locking tab (65) on adjusting stem (27).

Thread jam nut (24) onto adjusting stem (27).

Thread R/V seat (26) into jam nut (24).

Turn adjustable R/V seat in slowly until locking tab (65) prevents further rotation; then hold nut (23)
and tighten jam nut (24) to lock adjustable R/V seat in this position.

Press barrel bushing (21A) into pump housing (2).

Install new O-ring (22).

Lightly stone port plate (20) (use deburring stone, Item 46, Appendix E) free of burrs and insert
plate into pump housing (2) and position on two roll pins (21).

Insert barrel (16) into barrel bushing (21A) and onto spline end of shaft (52).

Insert washer (19) (rounded edge she facing in), barrel spring (18), and ball seat (17) into bore in
barrel (16).

Install seven piston assemblies (15) in slipper retainer (14).

Install slipper retainer (14) with piston assemblies (15) into barrel (16).

Install one new O-ring (9) onto each of two trunnion caps (8).

Insert one thrust washer (13) and one needle bearing (12) into each of two trunnion caps (8).

Insert one assembled trunnion cap (8) into trunnion housing (5); retain it with retaining ring (7).

Position swash plate (11) in trunnion housing (5) and insert trunnion pin (10) into housing, through
swash plate, and into trunnion cap (8) already in one end of housing.

Insert other assembled trunnion cap (8) in trunnion housing (5) to retain trunnion pin (10).

Install retaining ring (7) in trunnion housing (5) to retain trunnion cap (8).

Set trunnion housing assembly (5) onto pump housing (2).

Insert six hex socket head screws (6) through trunnion housing (5) and thread into pump housing
(2). Torque to 70 ft Ibs (95 Nm).

Coat threads of plug (66) with Loctite threadlock liquid (Item 7, Appendix E); thread plug into pump
housing (2). Torque to nine ft Ibs (12 Nm).
NOTE
The four longer screws (6) go into the upper four holes; the two
shorter screws go into the lower two holes.

Install new seal ring (4) onto drain plug (3) and screw plug into trunnion housing (5). Torque to 17
ft Ibs (23 Nm).
