NOTE
Place suitable container directly under drain plug to prevent antifreeze from draining on
vehicle and ground.

Place suitable container under drain plug (3) and remove drain plug (3) and preformed packing (4) from
radiator (2). Discard preformed packing.
NOTE
Perform Step (4) to allow remaining coolant to drain from duct.
4.
Place suitable container under engine oil cooler duct fitting (5). Remove screw (6), two preformed
packings (7), and engine oil cooler duct fitting (5) from oil cooler duct (8). Discard preformed packings.
5.
Replace drain plug (3) and preformed packing (4) in radiator (2) and tighten drain plug (3).
6.
Install engine oil cooler duct fitting (5) in oil cooler duct (8) with two preformed packings (7) and screw (6) and
tighten screw (6) to 13 lb-ft (18 Nm).
FILL COOLING SYSTEM
1.
Remove radiator cap (1) from radiator (2).
2.
Loosen engine oil cooler duct fitting screw (6).
3.
Remove vent plug (9) and preformed packing (10) from radiator (2). Discard preformed packing.
NOTE
Loosen drain plug to first notch.
4.
Loosen drain plug (3) on radiator (2).
