OPERATOR MAINTENANCE
PRIMING WATER PUMP

1.
Ensure water pump engine is running (WP 0022).
2.
Push PUMP PRIMER switch (1) to prime pump.
NOTE
Perform Step (3) if primer solenoid fails.
Water pump can only be manually primed from the pump operator's panel.
3.
Pull MANUAL PRIMER handle (2) and push PUMP PRIMER switch (1).
CAUTION
Operating water pump engine at speeds of more than 1,200 RPM during priming is
not recommended and will not improve priming operation. Failure to comply may
result in damage to equipment.
4.
Using pressure governor, maintain water pump engine speed of 1,000 to 1,200 RPM (WP 0024).
