Position rear cover (1) flange side up.

Install clutch spring compressor (Appendix B, Section 1II, Item 73) inside rear cover (1).

Compress clutch spring compressor and remove large external retaining ring (14).

Remove clutch spring compressor.

Remove piston spring retainer (15) from first clutch piston (16).

Remove 30 piston release springs (17) from first clutch piston (16).

Remove first clutch piston (16) from rear cover (1).
(16)
Remove dowel pins (18 and 19) from rear cover (1).
