6-5. CURB SIDE PUMP SUCTION MANIFOLD

Tool Kit, General Mechanics, Automotive
Main Engine Shutdown (see para 2-12.)
APU Shutdown (see para 2-16.)
Batteries Disconnected (see para 4-114.)
MATERIALS/PARTS REQUIRED
Curbside Operators Panel Removed
(see para 4-26.)
Front Suction Elbow Removed (see para 5-9.)
a. Removal.
(1)
Tag and disconnect two hoses (1) from
foam eductor (2).
(2)
Remove twelve manifold bolts (3).
(3)
Remove suction manifold (4).
(4)
Remove foam eductor (2) from piping
in manifold (4).
b. Installation.
(1)
Install foam eductor (2) in piping in
manifold (4).
(2)
Using new gasket (5), attach suction
manifold (4) to pump body with twelve
bolts (3). Torque to 85 lb ft (115 N.m).

Reconnect two hoses (1) to foam
eductor (2).

Follow-on Maintenance.

Install front suction elbow (see para 5-
9).
(2)
Install curbside operators panel (see
para 4-26).
(3)
Connect batteries (see para 4-114).
