6-24. EXHAUST VALVE BRIDGES - Continued
(9) Coat valve bridges (1 and 4) and valve bridge
guides (5) with lubricating oil (Item 10,
(10) Install valve bridges (1 and 4) on valve bridge
guides (5) making sure grooves in bridges fit
over top of valve stems (6).
(11) Insert 0.001 5-in. (.04 mm) feeler gauge
between end of valve bridge (1) and exhaust
valve stem (6).
(12) Press down on top surface of valve bridge
(1). Feeler gauge must be tight.
(13) Repeat steps (11) and (1 2) for other end of
valve bridge (1).
(14) Install all other valve bridges in the same
manner.

Follow-on Maintenance.
(1) Install rocker arms (see para 6-21).
