b.
Installation.
(1) Lubricate end of crankshaft (2)
with
lubricating oil (Item 10, Appendix E).
(2) Install two keys (1) in end of crankshaft (2).
(3) Install crankshaft pulley (3) on crankshaft (2).
(4) Install screw (5) and retainer (4).
(5) Tighten screw (5) to 180 lb-ft (244 N m).
(6) Strike head of screw (5) with soft face
hammer.
(7) Tighten screw (5) to 300 lb-ft (407 N m) and
strike screw again.
(8) Tighten screw (5) to 290 to 31 0 !b-ft (393 to
421 N m).

Follow-on Maintenance.
(1) Install radiator (see para 5-31).
(2) Install tan belts (see para 4-131).
(3) Install fan (see para 4-132).
