NOTE
Note position of guide pins prior to replacement to ensure proper installation.
39. Remove two guide pins (80) from transmission (25).
40. Remove transmission dipstick tube (TM 9-2320-325-14&P).
NOTE
All components removed in this procedure must be installed on replacement (new)
transmission.
Refer to Shipping and Storage Containers, Engine, Transmission and Transfer Case
Packing and Unpacking (TM 9-2320-325-14&P) if transmission is to be prepared for
storage.

CAUTION
Access hole must be covered to prevent dust and dirt from entering transmission.
Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
NOTE
Refer to Shipping and Storage Containers, Engine, Transmission and Transfer Case
Packing and Unpacking (TM 9-2320-325-14&P) if transmission must be unpacked from
container.
Install fittings, sending units, and plugs from old transmission on new transmission.
Uncover access hole before performing Step (1).
Install guide pins as noted prior to removal.
