Install bearing race with cupped side down.

Install bearing race (18) on small hub of
forward clutch assembly (1).

Install thrust bearing (19) on thrust bearing race
(18).
(29)
Coat bearing race (20) with lubricating oil (Item
10, Appendix E) and install.
(30)
Install forward clutch drive hub (21) on
forward clutch assembly (1).
(31)
Soak five friction plates (8) in clean lubricating
oil (Item 10, Appendix E) for 2 minutes.
(32)
Install 10 clutch plates (7 and 8), starting with
steel external plate and alternating with internal
friction plate.
