Raise carrier up to support transmission. Remove six screws and lock washers (20) from left side
of transmission.

Remove six screws and lock washers (19) from right side of transmission.

Lower jack and raise truck as needed to allow transmission clearance to remove from beneath
truck. Roll transmission from beneath truck.
b. Installation.
TRANSMISSION - LEFT SIDE VIEW
(1)
Roll transmission into position under truck. Raise transmission to align holes in mounting brackets
with holes in transmission mounting surfaces.
(2)
Install six screws and lockwashers (20) on left side of transmission and six screws and lockwashers
(19) on right side of transmission. Tighten screws securely.
(3)
Connect hose assembly (18) to transmission.
(4)
Connect modulator hose (17) to elbow in transmission.
