(4) Apply grease (Item 1, Appendix E) to
engine side of flywheel housing (1).
(5) Install gasket (3) on engine side of flywheel
housing (1).
(6) Apply grease (Item 1, Appendix E) to
gasket 3).
WARNING
Adhesives, solvents, and sealing compounds can
burn easily, can give off harmful vapors, and are
harmful to skin and clothing. To avoid injury or
death, keep away from open fire and use in well-
ventilated area. If adhesive, solvent, or sealing
compound gets on skin or clothing, wash
immediately with soap and water.
(7) Coat threads of pipe plugs (4 and 5) with
pipe thread sealing compound (Item 2,
Appendix E) and install pipe plug (4) in
back side of flywheel housing (1).
(8) Install pipe plug (5) in bottom of flywheel
housing (1).
