Install five bearing caps (12).

Strike bearing caps (12) with soft-face hammer.

Install ten screws (15).
(16) Torque eight screws (15) for first four bearing caps to 50 Ib-ft (68 Nm).
(17) Strike bearing caps (12) with soft-face hammer.
(18) Torque eight screws (15) to 110 Ib- ft (149 Nm).
(19) Torque eight screws (15) to 230 to 240 Ib-ft (312 to 325 Nm).
