Replace lining (paragraph 4-208).
Step 4. Inspect for loose calipers.
Tighten calipers.
Step 5. Check fluid in master cylinder.
Fill as necessary (paragraph 4-9).
54. EXCESSIVE BRAKE PEDAL EFFORT.
Step 1. Check for malfunctioning power brake unit.
Replace or repair as necessary (paragraph 4-210).
Step 2. Inspect for worn brake lining.
Replace lining (paragraph 4-208).
