Adhesives, solvents, and sealing compounds can burn easily, can give off harmful
vapors, and are harmful to skin and clothing. To avoid injury or death, keep away
from open fire and use in well-ventilated area. If adhesive, solvent, or sealing
compound gets on skin or clothing, wash immediately with soap and water.

Apply sealing compound to four locknuts (27) and two locknuts (31) to mark torque point.

CAUTION
Ensure that rubber lining is in place on fuel tank straps. Failure to comply may
result in excessive wear on fuel tank.
4.
With the aid of an assistant and a suitable lifting device, position fuel tank (26) on vehicle and secure fuel
tank (26) with three fuel tank straps (25), screws (24), and locknuts (23). Tighten locknuts to 90 lb-ft
(122 Nm).
