Fuel tank is bulky and awkward to handle. An assistant and a suitable lifting device
must be used to avoid injury or death to personnel.
10. With the aid of an assistant and a suitable lifting device, remove three locknuts (23) and T-bolts (24) from fuel
tank straps (25) and remove fuel tank (26) from vehicle. Discard locknuts.

NOTE
Three fuel strap mounting brackets are removed the same way. Rear fuel tank strap
mounting bracket shown.
11. Remove four locknuts (27) and screws (28) from fuel tank strap mounting bracket (29), fuel tank lowering
bracket (30), and vehicle. Discard locknuts.
