CAUTION
Use caution when removing rubber mounting of pigtail from lamp. Do not break
light tabs.
NOTE
Lamp will only function if correctly installed on rubber mounting of pigtail. Plastic tabs on
lamp must align with openings on rubber mounting of pigtail. It is possible to force lamp
on rubber mounting of pigtail in opposite position, which will not allow lamp to operate.
Note position of lamp on rubber mounting of pigtail and light cover prior to removal to
ensure proper installation.
Wire and rubber mounting of pigtail is routed through bracket after removal.

Remove rubber mounting of pigtail (9) and wire 1606 (6) from lamp (10) and mounting base (3).

Remove four screws (11), lockwashers (12), washers (13), and upper step mounting bracket (14) from
vehicle. Discard lockwashers.
