(7) At rear of lower mid-section, remove screws (18), washers (19) and retainers (20 and remove
horizontal wear pads (21). Rear vertical wear pads will fall out during ladder section removal.

Base Section Disassembly.
(1) Remove fly and upper and lower mid-sections (see para a., b. and c.).
(2) Remove water pipe as required (see para 4-201).
CAUTION
Support base section with hoist attached at mid-point.
(3) If base section is installed on truck, perform steps (3) thru (8) (see para a.).
(4) Observe the electrical cable and tension cable configurations in the following illustrations.
