Install oil pan (2) on transmission (6) with twenty-one screws (7). Do not tighten screws.

Install two spacers (8), bracket (9), two lockwashers (10), and two screws (11) on oil pan (2).
NOTE
Oil pan has to be drawn evenly to transmission.

Tighten each second screw (7 and 11) in one direction around oil pan (2) until all twenty-three screws
have been tightened to 10 to 13 Ib-ft (14 to 18Nm).

Install adapter(12).

(1)
Install transmission dipstick (see para 6-47).
(2)
Install shift cable (see para 6-47).
(3)
Fill transmission with oil (see para 4-142).
(4)
Check for leaks.
