4-63. WATER TANK LEVEL SENDER REPLACEMENT.
This task covers:

General Mechanics Tool Kit
Hose Bed Floor Removed
Hoist
General Safety Instructions
Materials/Parts
Engine OFF
Level Sender (A-1-1875)
Transmission in (N) neutral.
Parking brake and micro-brakelock set.
Batteries disconnected.
REMOVAL
a. Disconnect water tank sending unit to water
level gauge connector.
b. Remove 46 nuts (1) and washers (2) securing
tank cover (3) to tank (4).
WARNING
When lifting an object make sure
the hoist and sling are fastened
securely. Be sure the item being
lifted does not exceed the capacity
c. Remove tank cover (3) using a hoist.

d. Remove four phillips screws (5) and nuts (6)
securing sending unit (7).
e. Remove sending unit (7) and gasket (8).
