NOTE
Note position of rungs prior to removal to ensure proper installation.
All rungs are removed the same way.
Rungs on swing down lower ladder section are not removable.

Remove four nuts (16), lockwashers (17), eight washers (18), four screws (19), and rung (20) from right rear
ladder (7). Discard lockwashers.
7.
Remove locknut (21), screw (22), and rubber hook (23) from bracket (24). Discard locknut.
8.
Remove locknut (25), washer (26), screw (27), and bracket (24) from swing down lower ladder section (15).
Discard locknut.
END OF TASK
INSTALLATION
1.
Install bracket (24) on swing down lower ladder section (15) with screw (27), washer (26), and locknut (25).
2.
Install rubber hook (23) on bracket (24) with screw (22) and locknut (21).
NOTE
Install rungs as noted prior to removal.
Install washers as noted prior to removal.
3.
Install rung (20) on right rear ladder (7) with four screws (19), eight washers (18), four lockwashers (17), and
nuts (16).
4.
Install swing down lower ladder section (15) on right rear ladder (7) with two screws (14), six washers (13),
and two locknuts (12).

Rear access ladder weighs 95 lb. (43 kg). Attach suitable lifting device when
installing rear access ladder. Failure to comply may result in serious injury to
personnel or damage to equipment.
5.
Attach suitable lifting device to right rear ladder (7).
6.
With the aid of an assistant, install right rear ladder (7) on vehicle with 12 screws (11), 24 washers (10), 12
lockwashers (9), and nuts (8).
7.
Remove suitable lifting device from right rear ladder (7).
