NOTE
For pipe under 1.5 in. (38.1 mm) diameter, only perform Steps (1) and (4) and apply pipe
sealant only.
For pipe 1.5 in. (38.1 mm) diameter or over, follow Steps (1) through (4) and apply pipe
sealant and teflon tape.
Leave first two or three threads exposed when applying pipe sealant and teflon tape.

Apply pipe sealant (1) to threads of pipe (2).
