Fuel is very flammable and can explode easily. To avoid serious injury or death,
keep fuel away from open fire and keep fire extinguisher within easy reach when
working with fuel. Do not work on fuel system when engine is hot. Fuel can be
ignited by hot engine. When working with fuel, post signs that read NO SMOKING
WITHIN 50 FEET of vehicle.
NOTE
Fuel may spill when clamps and hoses are removed.
Position suitable drain pan under hoses to catch excess fuel.
2.
Remove clamp (4) and hose (5) from fuel pump (3).
3.
Remove clamp (6) and hose (7) from fuel pump (3).
4.
Remove two screws (8), lockwashers (9), washers (10), clamp (11), and fuel pump (3) from vehicle. Discard
lockwashers.
END OF TASK
INSTALLATION
1.
Install fuel pump (3) on vehicle with clamp (11), two washers (10), lockwashers (9) and screws (8).
2.
Install hose (7) on fuel pump (3) with clamp (6).
3.
Install hose (5) on fuel pump (3) with clamp (4).
