INSTALLATION
NOTE
Do not fully tighten mounting screws until fuel pump drive belt has been installed and
properly tensioned.
1.
Install gasket (12) and fuel line adapter (2) in fuel pump (5).
2.
Install fuel pump (5) and fuel pump bracket (8) on engine (9) with washer (11) and screw (10).
3.
Secure fuel pump bracket (8) on engine (9) with washer (7) and screw (6).
4.
Install fitting (4) on fuel pump (5) with screw (3).
CAUTION
Fuel line elbow fitting is a flare fitting. Do not overtighten. Failure to comply may
cause damage to equipment, fuel leaks, and the possibility of fire.
5.
Install fuel line elbow (1) on fuel line adapter (2).
END OF TASK
FOLLOW-ON MAINTENANCE
1.
Install alternator/fuel pump belt (WP 0473)
2.
Connect batteries (TM 9-2320-325-14&P)
3.
Pressurize and bleed air from fuel system (WP 0237)
4.
Install pump house panel S (WP 0540)
5.
Install crew cab passenger side front access panel (WP 0499)
