TM5-4210-229-14&P 4-72.  FUEL TANK REPLACEMENT (Continued). REMOVAL a. Disconnect  two  electrical  contacts  at  fuel  level  in- dicator sending unit (1). b. Remove five bolts (2) from the sending unit (1) and remove the gasket (3) and sending unit (1). c. Remove nut (4) from each retainer strap (5). d. Remove  four  nuts  (6),  washers  (7)  and  bolts  (8) and remove step (9). e. Place  a  jack  or  other  suitable  support  under  tank (10) and remove four nuts (11), washers (12), and bolts (13) from each bracket (14). f. Remove   brackets   (14).   Lower   tank   (10)   and   re- move. INSTALLATION a. Slide tank (10) into place and install brackets (14). b. Secure   each   bracket   (14)   using   four   bolts   (13), washers (12), and nuts (11). c. Install   step   (9),   and   secure   with   four   bolts   (8), washers (7), and nuts (6). d. Install retainer straps (5) and secure with nuts (4). e. Position gasket (3) and sending unit (1) and install the five bolts (2) that secure the sending unit (1) to the tank (10). f. Connect  two  electrical  contacts  at  fuel  level  indi- cator sending unit (1). g. Install fuel lines (paragraph 4-71). h. Connect batteries. 4-84
