4-156. WHEELHOUSE PANEL REPLACEMENT.
This task covers:
a. Removal
b. Installation
INITIAL SETUP:
Tools
Equipment Condition
Jack Stand
Para. Condition Description
General Mechanics Tool Kit
Tire Jack, Hand Crank, and Lug
Wrench Removed
General Safety Instructions
Coolant Bottle Removed
Engine OFF
Reservoir Removed
Transmission in (N) neutral.
Parking brake and micro-brakelock set.
Batteries disconnected.
REMOVAL
a.
Disconnect wiring harness (1).
b.
Raise vehicle on jack and support on jack
stands.
c.
Remove the wheelhouse panel to radiator
support bolts (2).
d.
Remove the wheelhouse panel reinforce-
ment to underbody bolts (3) and (4).
e.
Remove the wheelhouse panel to fender
bolts (5).
f.
Remove the wheelhouse panel (6) from the
vehicle by sliding the panel forward to clear
the lower back side of the fender well and
tilting the wheelhouse panel out of the
vehicle.
