Slip the tip of the tool over the exposed contact (fig. 6-17). Insure that the tip of the tool bottoms on the
post side of the connector

Twist the contact 90 degrees counterclockwise to unlock the contact.
(4)
Push on the handle to disengage the contact. Pull the contact from the connector face side with the
needle nose pliers (fig. 6-18).
(5)
Discard the removed contact.
