If damaged or if rotating counter (26) is being replaced, remove headless straight pin (30) and reset
coupling (31).

Remove three machine screws (32), three lockwashers (33), and optical element gear block assembly
(18). Discard lockwashers.

CLEANING
WARNING
Use cleaning compound in well-ventilated area away from open flame. Cleaning
compound is harmful to skin and clothing and may give off harmful vapor.
Remove rust, corrosion, dirt, and grease from metal parts. Remove dirt and grease using cleaning compound
(item 10, WP 0152 00).
NOTE
General procedures for cleaning metal parts and optics, removing corrosion, staking
pins, and other procedures are contained in TM 9-254.
