NOTE
Two preformed mechanical felts and two mechanical felt holders must be installed in
exact alignment with end of gear sector (elevation).
2.
Position two new preformed mechanical felts (2) (item 29, WP 0123 00) and two mechanical felt holders
(3) on end of gear sector (elevation) (4).
3.
Apply sealing compound (item 13, WP 0152 00) to threads of four socket head capscrews (5).
4.
Install four new lockwashers (6) (item 27, WP 0123 00) and four socket head capscrews (5). Tighten
socket head capscrews.
5.
Install two new lock wires (7) (item 21, WP 0152 00).

6.
Apply sealing compound (item 13, WP 0152 00) to two machine screws (8). Wipe off excess sealing
compound with a clean wiping rag (item 18, WP 0152 00). Install and tighten machine screws.
