5-31. RADIATOR - Continued

Lift radiator from truck.
b.
Installation.
(1) Connect a suitable lifting device to the
radiator top and carefully lower the radiator
into the truck.
(2) Install eight hex head screws (1) with lock-
washers (2) to secure radiator in place.
(3) Connect two transmission coolant hoses (3)
to bottom of radiator.
(4) Install 3-inch lower hose (4) to bottom of
radiator and tighten clamp (5).
(5)
Close radiator drain cock on bottom of radiator by turning in a clockwise direction.
(6)
Attach stabilizer brackets (6) with screws (7) and washers (8).
(7)
Put radiator stabilizer rod assembly (9) in position (with spring (10) at top). Install lock-washers (11)
and nuts (12) on bottom end stabilizer rods.
(8)
Install 3/8-inch by-pass hose (14) on radiator and tighten clamp (13).
(9)
Install 1 -inch by-pass hose (1 5) on radiator and tighten clamp (1 6).
(10) Install two 2-1/2 inch hoses (17) and tighten clamps (18).
(11) Connect two wires (19) to low water sensor (20).
