Main Engine Shutdown (see para 2-12.)

(Appendix B, Section III, Item 1)

APU Shutdown (see para 2-16.)

Batteries Disconnected (see para 4-114.)

a. Removal.

(1) Remove two screws (1) and endbell cover (2).

(2) Loosen two screws (3) and remove generator band (4).

(3) Remove brush (5) from spring holder (6) by pressing

spring holder (6) down and out as shown in broken

lines.

NOTE

If there is less than 5/8 in. (16 mm) of brush

remaining, it must be replaced.

(4) Tag brush lead (7) Remove nut (8) and disconnect

brush lead (7).
