2-17. OPERATION OF 10 TON HYDRAULIC RESCUE TOOL (Continued).
NOTE
An aircraft rescue tool kit is supplied for addi-
tional aid in aircraft and vehicle rescue proce-
dures.
a. Select best ram (6 or 7, figure 2-10) suited for the rescue operation and connect it to the pump and hose
(3) by placing the male end of the coupler firmly into the ram selected.
b. Push on the desired attachments to the ram.
c. To extend the ram, close the release valve control knob (2, figure 2-10) by turning clockwise until finger-
tight.
d. To operate the pump, hold in a horizontal or vertical position and pump the handle (1, figure 2-10).
e. To release the ram and load, turn release valve control knob (2, figure 2-10) slowly counterclockwise.
