Install mainshaft rear bearing locknut (1)

Slide speedometer drive gear (4) over
and washer (68) using mainshaft bearing

(d) Tighten mainshaft rear bearing locknut (1)
(14) Install rear bearing retainer (2) with new gasket
and bend washer tangs to slot in nut.

(a) Ensure snap ring ends are in lubrication slot

retainer bolts to 20 ft-lbs (27 N ) and the

lower retainer bolts to 30 ft-lbs (40 N ).
