Engine OFF.

Transmission in (N) neutral.

Material/Parts

Parking brake and micro-brakelock set.

Master Cylinder (14066425)

REMOVAL

a. Apply the vehicle parking brakes.

b. Disconnect the coiled pipes (1) from the master

cylinder (2).

NOTE

Cover the ends of the pipes to

prevent dirt from entering the

system.

c. Remove mounting nuts (3).

d. Remove the master cylinder (2).

INSTALLATION

NOTE

Prior to installation of the

replacement master cylinder, refer

to bench bleeding procedure of the

brake system (paragraph 4-208).

a. Install the master cylinder (2).

b. Install the mounting nuts (3) and torque to 32 ft-

lbs (44 N-m).

c. Connect the brake pipes (1).

d. Bleed the brakes (paragraph 4-208).

e. Release the parking brake
