4-40. STEPS AND MOUNTING BRACKETS REPLACEMENT (Continued).
REMOVAL
a. Street Side Step Removal.
(1) Remove six hex nuts (1), washers (2) and
bolts (3) securing step assembly (4) to
mounting brackets (5) and (6).
(2) Remove step assembly (4).
(3) Remove two hex head nuts (7), washers
(8) and bolts (9) securing mounting
bracket (6) to hose body assembly.
(4) Remove bracket (6).
b. Curb Side Step Removal.
(1) Remove six hex nuts (1), washers (2) and
bolts (3) securing step assembly (4) to
mounting brackets (5) and (6).
(2) Remove step assembly (4).
(3) Remove two hex head nuts (7), washers
(8) and bolts (9) securing mounting
bracket (6) to hose body assembly.
(4) Remove bracket (6).
INSTALLATION
a. Street Side Step Installation.
b. Curb Side Step Installation.
(1) Position bracket (6) to hose body
