2-13.13 Bearing Housing Repair - Continued
(9) Place thread protector tool (4, Appendix D) over the threaded section at the drive flange end of the pump
shaft (38).
(10) Position the extractor tool assembly (1, Appendix D) over the drive flange end of pump shaft (38). Secure
extractor tool assembly to bearing housing (26) using four capscrews (10) and tighten firmly.
(11) Tighten pressure screw of extractor tool assembly (1, Appendix D) until the pump shaft (38) moves clear of
bearing (23) in the bearing housing (26).
