FIRE PUMP - Continued
(11) Aline mounting holes in seal housing (7) with holes in pump head (3). Install washers (8) onto capscrews (9)
and thread into holes. Torque to 12 ft lb (16 Nm).
(12) To install pump head (3) onto bearing housing (4), aline studs (5) with mounting holes in bearing housing and
slide into place.
(13) Install lockwashers (2) and nuts (1) fingertight. Torque nuts to 44 ft lb (60 Nm).
(14) Install carbon seal seating ring assembly as detailed in para. 2-13.5 preceding.
(15) Install impeller as detailed in para. 2-13.4.
(16) Install volute body as detailed in para. 2-13.3.
(17) After repairs have been made, test fire pump as detailed in para. 2-13.14.
