Installation TOOLS Tool Kit, Master Mechanic, NSN 5180-00-699-5273 EQUIPMENT CONDITION Main Engine Shutdown (see para. 2-10) APU Shutdown (see para. 2-12) Batteries Disconnected (see para. 4-24.12) MATERIALS/PARTS 89711-K Tubing Flexible 89556-K Flatband Clamp 103954 Wye WARNING Exhaust  parts  may  cause  severe  burns  if  touched  while  hot.    Exhaust  system  must  be  cool before working on system. NOTE The  following  procedures  can  be  used  to  replace  either  the  APU  or  the  winterization  heater exhaust pipe. REMOVAL (1) Remove clamp nuts.  If nuts are corroded cut band with hacksaw. (2) Remove clamp. (3) Remove exhaust tubing. INSPECTION (1) Inspect tubing and clamps for corrosion. (2) Check tubing for excessive dents or separation. (3) Replace parts as required. INSTALLATION (1) Install pre-cut tubing on winterization heater exhaust outlet or on APU exhaust outlet. (2) Install new clamps and nuts. (3) Tighten clamp nuts to 30 ft lb (41 Nm). 4-288
