3-43.  Battery Box a. Removal.  Refer to figure 3-13, and remove the battery box from the truck chassis. b. Disassembly.          Refer     to     figure     3-14     and disassemble the battery box.  - - c. Cleaning, Inspection, and Repair. (1) Clean all parts with an approved cleaning solvent, and dry thoroughly. (2) Inspect all parts for damaged or defective condition. (3) Replace  or  repair  damaged  or  defective parts. d. Reassembly.          Refer     to     figure     3-14     and reassemble the battery box in reverse order. e. Installation.  Refer to figure 3-13 and install the battery box on the truck chassis. Section IX.  FUEL SYSTEM 3-44.  General The fuel system consists of a manually operated throttle control that is located on the lower left side area of the left pump operator's control panel.  It provides means of changing engine speed other than by the use of controls in the cab. 3-45.  Throttle Control and Linkage a. Removal.  Refer to figure 3-15, and remove the throttle    control    and    linkage    from    the:    engine    and instrument panel. b. Cleaning and Inspection. (1) Clean     all     parts     with     a     clean     cloth dampened  in  an  approved  cleaning  solvent,  and  dry thoroughly. (2) Inspect all parts for damaged or defective condition. (3) Replace  or  repair  damaged  or  defective parts as necessary. c. installation.  Refer to figure 3-15 and install the throttle control and linkage on the engine and instrument panel. Section X.  AIR SYSTEM 3-46.  General This  section  consists  of  the  various  fittings  and  tubing which connect the air brake system to the air tanks. 3-47.  Air Tank Tubing and Fittings a. Removal.  Refer to figure 3-16 and remove the air tank tubing and fittings from the unit. b. Cleansing, Inspection, and Repair (1) Clean all parts with an approved cleaning solvent and dry thoroughly. (2) Inspect all parts for damaged or defective condition. (3) Replace  or  repair  damaged  or  defective parts as necessary. c. Installation.  Refer to figure 3-16, and install the air tank tubing and fittings on the unit.  - 3-15
