6. Thread the insert (figure 3, item 1) into the new threads until the top of the insert is slightly below the surface.

7. Drive down the keys (figure 3, item 2; figure 4, item 1) using the insert's installation tool (figure 4, item 2) or a
round, flat driver. The keys should be flush with the surface (figure 4, item 3).

8. Thread a fastener of the desired thread size and pitch into the insert to ensure that the insert is installed
properly.
