Ensure fans start. Listen for any rattles or rumblings in the bearings. Report any noises to Unit Maintenance. Ensure winterization valves on main engine are OPEN. Start the Auxiliary Power Unit and Winterization Heater, (see para. 2-12). Ensure that hot water is circulated through the cab, - Any water hose is battery heater, pump body heater, water and foam leaking or has serious tanks.  Check that warm air comes out of the cab and cuts or abrasions. pump body heaters.  Check all fuel and water lines for signs of leakage, cuts or abrasions. When testing is complete, shut down the Winterization Heater and APU. Report any deficiencies to Unit Maintenance. 34 COOLING SYSTEM WARNING When the engine is hot,the coolant can cause serious burns.  To prevent injury, allow engine to cool before carrying out the following inspection.
