TM 5-4210-218-13&P 1-7 WARRANTY INFORMATION. The pump unit of the Recovery / Recharger Unit is covered by a limited warranty for a period of one year from the date of shipment from the manufacturer’s plant.    To  determine  when  the  shipping  date  was,  the  serial  number  of  the  pump  will have to be reported to the pump manufacturer.  Report all, defects to your supervisor, who will take appropriate action. 1-8  SAFETY, CARE.  AND HANDLING. WARNING In   accordance   with   Environmental   Protection   Agency   rules   Halon   is   not   to   be vented  into  the  atmosphere.    At  no  time  will  open  venting  of  Halon  be  allowed. Extreme    care    must    be    exercised    when    charging    an    extinguisher    or    when evacuating a partially filled or full extinguisher to prevent Halon escape. 1-9  CORROSION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (CPC). a. Corrosion  Prevention  and  Control  of  Army  materiel  is  a  continuing  concern.    It  is  important  that  any  corrosion problems with this item be reported so that the problem can be corrected and improvements made to prevent the problem in future items. b. While  corrosion  is  typically  associated  with  rusting  of  metal  products,  it  can  also  include  deterioration  of  other materials, such as rubber or plastic.  Unusual cracking, softening, swelling or breaking of the materials may be a corrosion problem. c. If  a  corrosion  problem  is  identified,  it  can  be  reported  using  Standard  Form  368  (Product  Quality  Deficiency Report).  Using key words such as ’corrosion", ’rust’, ’deterioration ’ or ’cracking’ will ensure that the information is identified as a CPC problem.. d. The form should be submitted to Commander, US Army Aviation and Troop Command, ATTN:  AMSAT-I-MDO, 4300 Goodfellow Blvd., St.  Louis, MO 63120-1798.  A reply will be furnished to you. 1-2
